Tina-Louise Allaire Brooke works primarily in oil. In addition to oil, she also works in pastels, acrylic, colored pencil, airbrushing, glass work, etc. Shadow and light, and her emotional reaction to the subject as a scene, concept or idea determine the style and colors she uses. Her favorite subjects are people, landscapes, and especial water. Even at a very young age Tina-Louise Allaire Brooke has been inspired to create some form of art. She use to bike along the boardwalk in Verdun, Montreal, Quebec her home town and gaze at the sky, plants, animals, and water see all the colours, shadows, and the way they flow, move. Tina-Louise was live in Arlington, Virginia for a couple years was honoured to study under Jane McElvany Coonce http://www.jmcelvany.com. That is when her true artistic self came out. Tina-Louise was able to enjoy exhibiting her work and selling it, which any artist can tell you bring great joy. During her stay in Arlington she joined Arlington Artist Alliance www.arlingtonartistsalliance.org, which opened a whole new horzon for her. She was able to get guidance from over 40 artists. Studied Pastel painting under Cynthia Gilmour where she created Still Life Purfume Bottles and Fishing Balls. Now residing in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Tina-Louise looks for to the nations capital for inspiration. All Tina-Louise works of art have a different style to them, she enjoy the challenge of learning something new.
